In this post, you will find great Stars Quotes from famous people, such as Saint Augustine, Walt Whitman, Al Pacino, Jocelyn Bell Burnell, Robbie Williams. You can learn and implement many lessons from these quotes.

My small experience on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ allowed me to slowly appreciate the Waltz and Viennese Waltz, but to see it in Vienna is something much different.
You know, for myself, my personal journey has been a very fortunate one and I would say to people it’s like the stars lined up and the skies opened up and the sun shined and I met the right people – was at the right time. And, most importantly, you know I love what I do.
Most aspiring child actors or child stars have a passion for it. But as easy as it is for me to say that I wouldn’t put my kids in it, if I saw that they really, really wanted to do and they had the drive, then I would fully support it. As long as there’s balance at home, then they could do whatever they wanted to do.
I’m a novelist who read a lot as a kid. When you grow up on books and then grow up to write books, famous authors are a lot more meaningful to you than TV and movie stars.
Just as Bowie, Zeppelin, etc., became rock stars by remaking themselves in the image of the California girls, the Go-Gos became rock stars by pretending to be the Buzzcocks and the Sex Pistols. Jane Wiedlin always said her biggest influence was growing up in L.A. as a Bowie girl.
My memories of Las Vegas were all with my father when I was, like, a teenager. He was best friends with Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, and we’d come up and see the shows and go backstage afterwards and have dinner together. It was one of my first educations about stars and how they really are back stage.
While writing my first 90 books, I was magazine editor, publisher, book publisher, executive, etc., so I was established in publishing. three of my seven or so books were biographies of sports stars and really opened doors for me in that area.
I have lived pain, and my life can tell: I only deepen the wound of the world when I neglect to give thanks the heavy perfume of wild roses in early July and the song of crickets on summer humid nights and the rivers that run and the stars that rise and the rain that falls and all the good things that a good God gives.
There is one common thing in superstars – enthusiasm and humility towards their work. Off sets, they are big stars for others, and they carry themselves the way they want to. When they are working, they are not stars.
The most attractive habitats for synthetic sentience might be the vicinities of exceptional sources of energy – for example black holes, or even the neighbourhoods of large stars, which routinely boil off the energy of ten thousand suns. These are the destinations they may seek.
We all sort of do want incentives for creative people to still exist at a certain level. You know, maybe rock stars shouldn’t make as much; who knows? But you want as much creativity to take place in the future as took place in the past.
With every inch of land on Earth now catalogued by our satellites, the stars are the next place we as a species must travel. And with a booming world population that will hit 9.1 billion in 2050, large-scale space travel may become a necessity.

I think the Earth and everything around it is connected – the sky and the planets and the stars and everything else we see as a mystery.
There are certain storylines I shouldn’t have done, there are certain actors I shouldn’t have cast – guest stars, I mean.
I saw stars like Helen Hayes, Maurice Evans, Tallulah Bankhead and Cornelia Otis Skinner. It was enchanting. I knew that was the world I wanted to be in.
I did seven indies because the independent market used to be a lot better before all the stars were doing independents. As a beginning actor, that’s where you started.
The theory in great families was ‘why work if you don’t have to.’ Being a public figure was reserved for movie stars.
I want people to know that movie stars live a normal, middle-class life.
For some people, you know, Garrison Keillor, Rush Limbaugh, really the stars, they’ve got a passion. They eat, drink and breathe radio, and I’m not like that. I used to think I wanted to be. But I need to be away from it, too, and that’s the difference, I think.
I live in Indiana and teach at Purdue University, a wonderful school with some of the brightest students I have ever had the privilege of working with. My colleagues are powerful and intelligent and kind. The cost of living is low, the prairie is wide, and on clear nights, I can see all the stars in the sky above.
The difficulty of getting a movie made through a major studio is so extreme that when a movie comes out, everyone should give it four stars because it was accomplished.
When you look at what we spend on entertainment, whether it’s on CDs, music, DVDs, there is so much money invested in that, people want to know a little more about the stars they’re paying to see or hear.
I would prefer to stay up and watch the stars than sleep.
All the top stars like Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh, etc. do very few films a year and I don’t think it’s affected their visibility or fan following in any way.
At the end of the day, there’s only a few major stars in the music business, and then there’s all these people that are aspiring to be that.
I’m Jewish and my wife isn’t so right now we’re literally decorating a Christmas tree with Jewish stars draped around it.
I’m getting paid to do what I got in trouble for in the 7th grade. I absolutely love what I do and thank my lucky stars for twenty-five years of full-time employment in this business.

I did a couple of movies in Brazil, and the actors were incredibly congenial and hung out together a lot. Even the biggest stars would do radio commercials – they’re not put on a pedestal like they are in the United States.
Back when I used to struggle with how I could define myself in the film business, I knew that I’d always remain true to myself and what I wanted to accomplish. The style of action I showcase is quite different from other stars we usually see, but I’m remaining true to myself, and hopefully this comes across.
Let’s face it: in advertising, you are paid more, but you die younger. It’s not very forgiving. Like sports stars, you’re in it during your better years, and then you’re out looking for work.
I’m not a star, and I don’t want to be a star. Stars fall. I’m an ordinary guy with an extraordinary job.
The key to proving that there’s a black hole is showing that there’s a tremendous amount of mass in a very small volume. And you can do that with the motions of stars.
In September, I left the show. We were going through discussions and negotiations, and I had been on the show for about 11 years, and there were some things that I was asking for that I didn’t feel were the moon or the stars.
I create stars.
Well, nine times out of ten when you have 2 or 3 stars in a household you have an unfortunate amount of competition that’s not necessarily a healthy competition.
If you work with big stars, then they become the lead actors. It’s not that I don’t want to do films with big stars, but I would rather do the films where I get the title roles.
A lot of movie stars are not great actors; they’re just very good-looking. And when they start to age and they don’t have the looks any more, then it’s over.
For a long time, I was an assistant in the NFL to George Allen, and George was paranoid that other teams were cheating on him… that they were offering bounties, that they were wiring our locker room, that they were putting food poisoning into the pregame meal of the other team’s stars, stuff like that.
I saw ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel.’ I liked it. I saw ‘The Fault in Our Stars,’ and I could see why young girls like it. But it dropped off like crazy in the second weekend. I liked ‘Fed Up‘ – I love documentaries. I go to a lot of documentaries.
Sure we’re in limos. We’re stars. How else is a star supposed to travel?
I’ll go out at night and look up at the stars and think, ‘How ridiculously inconsequential I am in the scheme of things.’

We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.
‘Dancing With The Stars‘ is a little family. The cast, we’re all together – we’re a really friendly competition.
The stars handle it very graciously. They let you know. They know how to play the game.
It is all about marketing; that is where the real craft comes in. The best actors do not necessarily become the biggest stars. And vice versa.
Beauty has been democratised. No longer the preserve of movie stars and models but available to all. But while the invitation to beauty is welcomed, it has become not so much an option as an imperative.
Cinema isn’t just a good medium for translating graphic novels. It’s specifically a good medium for superheroes. On a fundamental, emotional level, superheroes, whether in print or on film, serve the same function for their audience as Golden Age movie stars did for theirs: they create glamour.
The CW is a very fashion-oriented network and they like their stars to look a certain way. I like that, but at the same time, I need Nikita to be toned down a bit. You can’t draw too much attention to Nikita because she’s an assassin.
When I initially committed to joining ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ I didn’t realize just how physically demanding it would be for me. Unable to put forth my best effort, I felt it appropriate to step aside and give someone else the opportunity.
God who is eternally complete, who directs the stars, who is the master of fates, who elevates man from his lowliness to Himself, who speaks from the cosmos to every single human soul, is the most brilliant manifestation of the goal of perfection.
I believe that my whole creative life stemmed from this magic hour under the stars on that hilltop.
I’ve been obsessed with seeing life through music. My records, my relationship with records, my relationship with rock stars, everything that surrounds it, has been really one of the only ways that I ever started to understand the world.
I came to Hollywood and within a decade I was one of the biggest action stars of all time.
Some of the biggest movie stars in the world are essentially characters.

Oh, don’t let’s ask for the moon. We’ve already got the stars.
Nations, like stars, are entitled to eclipse. All is well, provided the light returns and the eclipse does not become endless night. Dawn and resurrection are synonymous. The reappearance of the light is the same as the survival of the soul.
My favorite all-time artist… I would say, I think that must be Sigur Ros, I love that band. It’s like going to the stars for me. When I put the music from Jonsi or Sigur Ros on, it’s so relaxing, it’s warm and it never gets boring to listen to, you always hear new things. Yeah, that must be my favorite band.
There is nothing worse than when actors come to a set – and it happens a lot with big stars – and they are too aware of where the camera is. They are the show. And that becomes apparent and it affects the production. I am like ‘You should not know where the camera is – you should act, and I will do the rest.’
It would be really great if people would realize that stars are only people with the same weaknesses and flaws, not immaculate idols.
I think India is very passionate about films. It’s almost a second religion back home. Due to that, I think film stars are – are really held in great esteem. Not that we’re complaining, but I think with that comes a lot of responsibility.
The central region of the Milky Way, known as the bulge, is stuffed with literally tens of billions of stars. And most of these are old – considerably older than our Sun or its neighbors – because this part of the galaxy formed first. Consequently, bulge stars are generally deficient in heavy elements.
I have the infinite galaxy from ‘2001’ as my screensaver – so if I space out while I’m writing and it goes to screensaver, I can just stare off into the stars.
Making it to the finale of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ has been a major accomplishment.
With pop stars or film stars, we become the object of people’s self-definition, as well as the object of sexual definition.
I think there are rock stars within every subgenre, and for people who are obsessed with musical theater Sutton Foster and Audra MacDonald are like Beyonce to them. I’m sure the a cappella world has their own version of that, and that exists in every geeky subculture.
‘Dancing With the Stars’ is so Middle America, and people take it so seriously.
If someone is going to permit me to make a publication that is politically and culturally progressive and not tell me to put their favorite movie stars on the cover, if I get to do what I want in an honest way – as I did in the beginning at ‘Colors’ – then I’m going to do it.
As specialists of apparent life, stars serve as superficial objects that people can identify with in order to compensate for the fragmented productive specialisations that they actually live.
You know, technology CEOs like to think of themselves as rock ‘n roll stars.
I respect newspapers, but the reality is that magazine ‘photojournalism’ is finished. They want illustrations, Photoshopped pictures of movie stars.

I wouldn’t say pop stars hit on me – that’s just stuff the papers make up.
We partied with the royal rich people, and we felt like rock stars. We drank all the whiskey in the place.
As I get older the stars have gone from my eyes more, and I see that life is just something that has to be lived with, that it’s better not to struggle.
A sister is like yourself in a different movie, a movie that stars you in a different life.
I wrote the first book, Harvest of Stars, and as I was writing it, I saw that certain implications had barely been touched on… It’s perfectly obvious that two completely revolutionary things are going on, with cybernetics, and biological science.
A lot of stars don’t have a sense of humor.
It’s really important for women in the public eye to be open – these pop stars who don’t look, behave, speak like real women – that’s not fair on women. Being real, honest, authentic – too many women in the public eye are afraid to be authentic because they are afraid they will be judged.
It’s like having astronomy without knowing where the stars are.
The way a team plays as a whole determines its success. You may have the greatest bunch of individual stars in the world, but if they don’t play together, the club won’t be worth a dime.
As far as the filmmaking process is concerned, stars are essentially worthless – and absolutely essential.
Stars arrive on their own timetable.
Chris Paul is one of the brightest stars in the National Basketball Association, a must-see player with the New Orleans Hornets whose deft ball skills and eye-popping speed have attracted admirers all over the world.
Jump into the middle of things, get your hands dirty, fall flat on your face, and then reach for the stars.
In the 1940s, cigarettes would be shown in classy situations, endorsed by celebrities – real A-list Hollywood stars in America – the ads would make claims about tobacco quality or manufacturing science and, bizarrely, some brands had what almost amounted to health claims.
It is greater than the stars – that moving procession of human energy; greater than the palpitating earth and the things growing thereon.
You don’t see a lot of black rock stars. The music industry tends to be segregated stylistically. It’s hard for a black artist to cross over to rock music.
It was inevitable at some point that I would bump into one of my father’s plays. The reality of the situation is that I’m a jobbing actor, and any actor would give their eye-teeth to have one of those roles. It’s a no-brainer! I’m pleased the stars have aligned around ‘Arcadia.’

There are at least as many galaxies in our observable universe as there are stars in our galaxy.
The real stars are not good actors or actresses. They’re personalities.
When we contemplate the whole globe as one great dewdrop, striped and dotted with continents and islands, flying through space with other stars all singing and shining together as one, the whole universe appears as an infinite storm of beauty.
It is the stars, The stars above us, govern our conditions.
There’s no night without stars.
I’m not somebody who gets teared up or anything, but I still look up at the stars, and it gives me hope, and it gives me energy. I think one of the things that we have to think about it is, we are all a part of this universe.
Our Bollywood stars who talk of being part of 100 crore films, I think I belong to the 1,000 crore club.
Child stars have nothing. They have no choice.
And he that strives to touch the stars, Oft stumbles at a straw.
Well, all these stars have their houses swept quite regularly by people who work in the surveillance security business. They come in and they look for bugs and things.
The only difference from one $100 million budget film to another is which of the 12 box stars are getting $20 million to be in it.
I aim for the stars, and winning a world title will not be a fulfilment of a dream for me. It never has been.
When, according to habit, I was contemplating the stars in a clear sky, I noticed a new and unusual star, surpassing the other stars in brilliancy. There had never before been any star in that place in the sky.
Movie stars are insecure like everyone else. That’s why they go into acting!
I do feel in 2018 that pro wrestling has gone in such a different direction. Before, things were so black and white; now, it’s shades of grey. It’s not so much good guys and bad guys: there are people who are put in situations who do the right or wrong things, but people react to them like they are stars.
I had a big problem working with stars, because they are too expensive and have too many demands. Their names help you raise the money to make the movie, but then they demand close-ups. They change things. You end up doing things at their service instead of servicing the film.
Darwin and his successors taught us how our biosphere evolved, and thereby transformed our conception of humanity‘s place in nature. In the twenty-first century, space scientists are setting Darwin in a grander cosmic context – probing the origins of Earth, stars, atoms and the universe itself.
Humanity has the stars in its future, and that future is too important to be lost under the burden of juvenile folly and ignorant superstition.

A typical neuron makes about ten thousand connections to neighboring neurons. Given the billions of neurons, this means there are as many connections in a single cubic centimeter of brain tissue as there are stars in the Milky Way galaxy.
Undoubtedly, there are a number of well-developed, mainly female, stars helping Miss Taylor to hold the film industry together: Sophia Loren, Anita Ekberg, etc. But such an insistence on cheesecake smells of bankruptcy.
Stars are rare creatures, and not everyone can be one. But there isn’t anyone on earth – not you, not me, not the girl next door – who wouldn’t like to be a movie star holding up that gold statuette on Academy Award night.
I was a little girl who grew up idolizing musical-theatre stars.
I don’t consider a lot of actors that I really admire movie stars.
I’ve always thought John Travolta is one of the greatest movie stars Hollywood has ever produced.
The biggest crime in England is to rise above your station. It’s fine to be a pop star. ‘Oh, it’s great, lots of fun, aren’t they sweet, these pop stars! But to think you have anything to say about how the world should work? What arrogance!’
I’m not going to get somewhere and say, ‘OK, I’m done.’ Success is never final; I’ll just keep on going. The same way as failure never being fatal. Just keep going. I’m going to the stars and then past them.
I really believe that’s one of the many reasons that God had put me right in the middle of the Backstreet Boys. There are so many stars today that don’t realize the impact they have on young people. Being a superstar is great, as long as you can be a positive role model.
During the winter my attention was attracted to the changes in the stars and planets in the sky.
There are patriots who opposed the war in Iraq and there are patriots who supported the war in Iraq. We are one people, all of us pledging allegiance to the stars and stripes, all of us defending the United States of America.
My connections and roots to this land of Australia – the sea, the reefs, the sky, the stars – come from a time and place that existed long before basketball was invented, and definitely long before the Boomers program was created.
Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars.
When I go train hopping and I look up into the sky, there are always so many more stars than I remember there were.
What goes on inside a star is better understood than one might guess from the difficulty of having to look at a little dot of light through a telescope, because we can calculate what the atoms in the stars should do in most circumstances.
I can’t say I can foresee the future and tell the stars, you know. But I do have an understanding for my own reality, just elements and things that I’ve learned from.
The Sun, Moon and Stars are there to guide us.
There have been many cases in which stars have come to us first to break the news because they knew the pressure was on. They wanted to have it on the air so that they could give their honest evaluation of the situation.
Looking up and out, how can we not respect this ever-vigilant cognizance that distinguishes us: the capability to envision, to dream, and to invent? the ability to ponder ourselves? and be aware of our existence on the outer arm of a spiral galaxy in an immeasurable ocean of stars? Cognizance is our crest.
People who look down never get much of an idea of the sky where the stars are set. And the fellow who doesn’t hitch at least one or two of his wagons to a star never gets very high up. Get your eyes off the ground. Look ahead.
I’m attracted to working with comedians because they don’t have that stars’ idea of what a hero should be. The downside is they’re always addressing the camera too much.
Personality is essential. It is in every work of art. When someone walks on stage for a performance and has charisma, everyone is convinced that he has personality. I find that charisma is merely a form of showmanship. Movie stars usually have it. A politician has to have it.
It’s not the great stars that win; it’s the great teams that win. It’s the teams that subjugate their ego to the team and put the team first.
I have spent so much time and so much energy making other people’s children stars.

Veteran print editors and reporters at places like the ‘Times’ and ‘The New Yorker‘ manage to feed and clothe their families without costing their companies a million bucks a month, and they produce a great deal more valuable reporting and analysis than the network news stars do.
Kiefer Sutherland is a crazy jerk on ’24,’ but you love him because he gets the job done. And I think that that goes for a lot of action stars, I mean Steven Segal is a jerk, but you want to watch him because, eventually, he’s a jerk who can beat up bad people.
I have considered rap music stars, and there is one in my new book, Lovers and Players, and there is also a hip-hop music mogul who I think you will like a lot.
When I see someone in a military uniform I make it a point to approach them, shake their hand and say five words… ‘thank you for your service.’ ‘Stars Earn Stripes’ is a high energy, fun, action show, but at its heart it is all about those five words.
I’ve been with certain stars; some are caring and pay attention to their fans and to their fellow performers and some are too busy. Elvis never seemed too busy.
The most exciting thing for all of us is movies and movie stars.
I have always had an ambition to do ‘Dancing with the Stars.’
When I was first on ‘Dancing With The Stars’, people were really shocked and surprised.
I really don’t care what movie stars have to say about life.
We’ve always been fascinated with movie stars and singers, but the fascination with people who really have nothing to offer is something new.
I like to take risks and do weird things and stuff that’s not normal compared to other Hollywood movies. Not stuff that’s totally avant garde and daring, but doing stuff that’s in other languages and not using stars and using real people – things that they generally don’t do in mainstream films.
I have had quite an interesting life. My husband was quite successful in the movies, and we went out frequently with Gloria Swanson and other stars.
When I did ‘Dancing with the Stars’ I did lose an awful lot of weight and I think at the time everybody was sort of alarmed by it. You can eat anything and it is still dropping off you when you are doing that amount of exercise.
Rock stars are good at making noise.
Fortunately, right now ‘entrepreneurship‘ is one of the business world‘s biggest buzz words and so many young people in our country are looking up to this new generation of CEO’s as their modern day rock stars. Whenever you have that effect, it makes the job of promoting entrepreneurship much easier.
You think a lot of people get to be big stars and get a little crazy, but most of the ones I’ve ever met have always been surprisingly normal, and I’ve enjoyed that.
I don’t know how we had about eighteen international stars in it, all playing James Bond.
The first voyagers to the stars will be creatures whose life cycle is matched to the voyage: the aeons involved in traversing the galaxy are not daunting to immortal beings. By the end of the third millennium, travel to other stars could be technically feasible. But would there be sufficient motive?

I do like my rock stars to be a little larger than life. I don’t mind the earnest ones at all, but I do like a bit of individuality.
We sit in the mud… and reach for the stars.
You can’t please everyone in life, which is especially true for great stars.
I’d rather learn from one bird how to sing than teach 10,000 stars how not to dance.
We’ve accounted for 95 percent of all the stars in the Milky Way. The other 5 percent are big, bright stars – the kind that dominate the night sky, but are lamentably both rare and short-lived. If biology‘s your thing, you can forget those guys.
Drag is pastiche and parody and satire. Drag queens are never meant to be stars. We make fun of stars. Drag queens are the people that ‘point’ at the star.
Movie stars and singers never fully pass away because their images are replayed on film and recordings, over and over.
The stronger the participation of the female characters, the better the movie. They knew that in the old days, when women stars were equally as important as men.
I’m not that good looking… nobody is that good looking. I have seen a lot of movie stars, and maybe four are amazing looking. The rest have a team of gay guys who make it happen.
With everybody having a Facebook and a Twitter, I feel like regular people consider themselves stars. It’s a live, real-time upload of every time we buy a pair of socks, the most telling sign that we’re losing our politeness. When you know everything about somebody, you can talk to them any way you please.
Not taboo – it’s just that straight actors still risk their careers commercially and economically. They have to please the crowd – they’re movie stars; their image is their industry. It goes beyond acting.
I don’t know that I came across as being real competitive on ‘The Bachelor,’ although maybe I did a little bit on ‘Dancing with the Stars.’ I am a born competitor. The bigger the challenge the better!
I’m not one of those stars that goes out and literally dresses to be photographed. I’m kind of a ‘what you see is what you get’ type of girl when I dress. I go for comfort above everything else.
I love French style from the Thirties and Forties. French movie stars like Jean Gabin and Yves Montand had so much natural, effortless style.
I have worked with so many actors, some have been stars, while at times, I have been at a better standing than them, but it doesn’t really matter.
We showed the industry that female artists could attract the same audiences as the big male stars.
When I introduced a black soldier, Lt. Flap, in 1971, the Stars and Stripes banned the strip. They were having racial problems and thought it would increase the tensions.
There’s enough music in the world. There are enough rock stars.
Classifying the stars has helped materially in all studies of the structure of the universe.
God makes stars. I just produce them.

You know that everyone thinks that in order to do South Park we must be wild, crazy, rock and roll stars. But the truth is we’re just wholesome middle-American guys. We enjoy soda pop, baseball and beating up old people just as much as anybody.
I think it’s particularly fun not being a full-time showbiz reporter because you still have the ‘Oh, wow!’ factor when you go out on the red carpet and there are these big stars that are standing there. But if you’re doing this day in and day out, it becomes a little blase.
For aspiring actors out there, I would say stay focused and don’t let anyone pull you away from your goals. Shoot for the stars so that if you ever fall short you can land on the clouds.
Some of the biggest and most popular movie stars in the world are limited or have constantly done what they do really well. Being versatile is not necessarily the greatest quality for an actor.
I was never a singer; I can’t play any instruments; I had no training. Plus, I was brought up in a time when all the great rock stars were male. I didn’t have any template for what I was doing. I did what I did out of frustration and concern.
Stars are almost always people that want to make up for their own weaknesses by being loved by the public and I’m no exception to that.
I love thinking of movie stars who could play the characters in the books I write.
What is interesting, as well, is how much power homicide detectives have and how much respect. They are kind of rock stars, especially in New York. There are not that many of them.
I’ve never written a movie, I’m not in the movie business. I go out to L.A. and I’m like everyone else wandering around in a daze hoping I see movie stars. I write the novels that the movies are based on, and that feels like enough of a job for me.
My stars and my stripes are your dream and your labors.
I wanted to be a movie star. But movie stars are not what they used to be.
In the days of Gary Cooper, James Stewart etc, film stars personified the better aspects of human nature.
I’m trying to build a strong business. I want to create new stars, new shows and new products for my audience and create a legacy that outlives me. There are so many other ways I want to reach women besides doing a talk show.
There’s this unspoken club where you say to each other: Oh God, if they only knew how ordinary I was, they wouldn’t be interested. That includes movie stars and politicians.
That is the exploration that awaits you! Not mapping stars and studying nebula, but charting the unknown possibilities of existence.
When one deals with stars, he is dealing with intelligent people. If they weren’t intelligent, they wouldn’t have arrived at the star pinnacle.
Yeah we all shine on, like the moon, and the stars, and the sun.

Stars talk about how they dislike fans fussing over them, begging for autographs and things like that, but deep down inside, they love every minute of it.

I grew up in Bulgaria in a small city on the Black Sea Coast, so I was very interested in the sea, marine life, and everything related to it. But it was also a very dark place at night, so I could see the stars. And I just got very interested in it.
There were no bigger stars in the new evangelism than the Bakkers.
I’ve learned 90 percent of what I know from watching and listening to actors. A good leading actor is the rock of the show. Their energy and their tone really sets the groundwork for how everything is going to work. I’ve been lucky to deal with stars who are very giving and generous.
Voyager found Saturn to be a planet with a complex interior, atmosphere, and magnetosphere. In its rings – a vast, gleaming disk of icy rubble – the mission recorded signs of the same physical mechanisms that were key in configuring the early solar system and similar disks of material around other stars.
It is about time that TV actors were paid as well as film stars.
I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness because it shows me the stars.
I don’t think I would be a good actor! People enjoyed ‘Dancing With the Stars’ because I was myself, and every time they told me to say something, I would say my own words, so I don’t think I could follow a script well!
It’s rumored that doing well in real estate is to be able to close a deal. I did not find that to be the case for myself, I was probably the worst closer out there and I didn’t find that was true of my top super stars either.
I personally have dealt with any adversity in my life with humor. That’s why I told America to ‘Read my hips!’ on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ or was happy to play along with Jason Alexander and Jerry Seinfeld in the great restaurant scene on ‘Seinfeld.’
Everybody thought I was a bit of an eccentric for wanting to be out there looking at the stars, but I still do.
I’ve completely changed the way I eat since doing ‘Dancing With The Stars.’
I am not going to do a film based on a bad scenario just to make a big Hollywood film or work with Hollywood stars.
This dark brightness that falls from the stars.
I would say that one of the things that we are proud of is that we are attracting very interesting guest stars. One is Tyne Daly, who has done a wonderful job.
The problem is that they are all stars at Madrid. You need someone to carry the water to the well.
We are all made up of stars and all of us are billions of years old – that’s what I believe, at least.
‘Dancing with the Stars’ is awesome.
I was 18 when I did ‘The Amanda Show,’ and I was 19 when I did ‘MadTV,’ and I was in way over my head. I was just sort of a goof who could do impressions of WB stars – speaking of the Dawson Van Der Beek era – and it was overwhelming. I don’t think I’ve learned more faster in my life than when I worked on ‘MadTV.’

Some people had fathers who were bankers or farmers, my father made films, that’s how I saw it. As for the movie stars, they were just around, some of them were friends, others weren’t, it was all just a part of my everyday life.
I think, in America, for a long time you had groups that wanted to be stars more than they wanted to make music.
I don’t like going out. I hate clubs. I hate being around too many people. I love my home and staying in bed and watching ‘Dancing With the Stars’ or reading a Danielle Steel novel.
The Bush Cabinet is quite interesting, there are no flashy people in there. No stars. They all seem quite focused and serious and knowledgeable about the areas to which they have been appointed.
I am not a person who reaches for the moon as long as I have the stars.
Overall, we’ve lost risk-takers on the red carpet at the Academy Awards. All too often, stars play it safe.
Walking down the red carpet, suddenly I felt very special and different. All the flashlights from cameras and requesting voices from the media, the scene, it was just like what I remembered seeing on TV or a movie when I was a little girl – the scene only when movie stars appeared.
Forget all the bars and schmoozing and everybody checking out everybody else. My ideal date would be to park in a dark place, check out the stars, and have a great conversation. When all else fails, you can just make out.
Scientists – who prefer explanations subject to laboratory tests – figure that everything we see today was as inevitable as wrinkles, once the Big Bang established physics. Stars and planets were cooked up as huge clouds of matter collapsed and coalesced.
The stars played out the way they were supposed to play out, and I’m in the position I’m supposed to be in.
To pursue a career in Hollywood you have to have a personality bypass. Look at the top 20 stars in the world – there’s probably only two actors among them. Hollywood’s not about you as an actor. It’s about your currency, what you ‘bring to the table’. And I’ve never been one to jump through hoops for anyone.
I learned a lot about handling fans from established stars.
When I was a kid, I thought movie stars were women and men who were in these great films that we still look at now. But I don’t think there are too many films coming out these days that we’re going to look at in the future and say, ‘This is one of the great ones.’
The real big stars only keep this up for about seven years.
The thing that’s strange about Frank Vincent is that actors of his quality are usually big stars.
I think ‘Twilight‘ was such a phenomenon that it will be awhile before anything like that will happen again. Cause it really influenced pop culture, and the stars of it – well, the people who became stars out of it – their lives were completely changed.
The reality is that we know that this universe, that our galaxy, has billions of stars. We know that stars have planets. So the likelihood that there is life somewhere else to me is just absolutely there.
No, you will never see me on ‘Dancing With the Stars.’ Sorry.
From the point of view of being in the public radar, comedians have less problems than other actors. Action movie stars like Stallone or Schwarzenegger usually attract the more aggressive fans.
Governments can’t keep looking over the shoulder or at the constellation of stars. You have got to do what you have got to do.

I entirely agree with you about the obscurity of Mrs Browning’s line about the stars. It is far-fetched. She wanted to express something which she found beyond expression.
To find the universal elements enough; to find the air and the water exhilarating; to be refreshed by a morning walk or an evening saunter… to be thrilled by the stars at night; to be elated over a bird’s nest or a wildflower in spring – these are some of the rewards of the simple life.
He who exercises government by means of his virtue may be compared to the north polar star, which keeps its place and all the stars turn towards it.
Look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see, and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious.
For me, watching Mohamed Salah play football is not unlike staring up at the stars and contemplating the vastness of the universe: it makes my own life seem nice and small.
Tiger had the advantage of high school, college, and a father who knew golf. I was self-taught. Blacks really won’t play golf in great numbers until some of these basketball and football stars buy some golf courses where blacks can play.
The sky is filled with stars, invisible by day.
I think I’m a lot funnier and goofier than people were able to see on ‘Dancing With the Stars.’
Usually, if I’m yelling at the TV, I’m in a bar. If I’m by myself, and it’s not a game, I often find myself scolding reality stars that can’t hear me through the television set.
In some sense, what you might have suspected from the first day of high-school chemistry is true: The periodic table is a colossal waste of time. Nine out of every 10 atoms in the universe are hydrogen, the first element and the major constituent of stars. The other 10 percent of all atoms are helium.
Fact is we went on to do other things. But we still wanted to do our success like rock’n’roll stars.
Growing up in Hollywood meant there were a lot of film stars’ kids at my school – but no conspicuous wealth. It wasn’t cool to show off that you had money.
Although we are being presented in Carnegie Hall, we have to furnish a budget for our guest stars, and for the music writing – which is a huge budget in any orchestra that plays popular music.
They did ask me to do ‘Dancing With The Stars;’ I said I can do one show, but on that show you have to come up with a new number every week, and I told them that I think I’m a little past that stage.
I grew up in a town with no movie theater. TV was my only link to the outside world. Film wasn’t such a big deal to me. It was TV. So much so, that when I meet TV stars now… Not my co-workers, but real TV stars, I get nervous. I freak out around them.
The irony of that is, what makes it kind of ironic, is when you do become successful as a professional athlete in particular, a lot of the young children who are emulating these stars do have a different perspective.
The fact that I fell in love with Meghan so incredibly quickly was sort of confirmation to me that all the stars were aligned; everything was just perfect. It was this beautiful woman just sort of literally tripped and fell into my life; I fell into her life.
They say some of my stars drink whiskey, but I have found that ones who drink milkshakes don’t win many ball games.
I don’t hang with stars. I create stars.
My dad‘s paternal grandparents were musically inclined. And I remember as a little kid going to visit them in their senior building, and they were, like, the stars of the building, especially hosting and performing in their senior talent show.
Gee whiz, I know that some movie stars don’t like to be bothered, but I don’t mind. I think it’s part of the package, and it’s not a bother.
Rock stars are incredibly energizing to me.
There have to be reasons that you get up in the morning and you want to live. Why do you want to live? What’s the point? What inspires you? What do you love about the future? If the future does not include being out there among the stars and being a multi-planet species, I find that incredibly depressing.
Whether it’s a blatant homage or unconscious mimicry, the Rolling Stones have permanently, indelibly influenced how rock stars look and behave.
When I started my own business, my main reason for designing clothes was that I wanted to dress rock stars and the people who went to rock concerts. It didn’t go beyond that aspiration at that point.
His head is made of stars, but not yet arranged into constellations.
You got to try and reach for the stars or try and achieve the unreachable.

For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream.
No one regards what is before his feet; we all gaze at the stars.
The public’s got it right, a lot of NBA stars are arrogant and like to spend lots of money and have lots of girlfriends and all that.
More than accepted, it’s encouraged for rock stars to be out of control.
It was this feeling the whole time like I shouldn’t be here among all these stars and professionals. I was trying to keep my distance because I wanted to watch everyone. But they want you to feel at home and be part of it, and it became normal very quickly.
Stars work because of familiarity. They fill theatres because audiences know who they are. There is a brand equity. But there are films strong enough to not need stars, or films that should not be made with stars at all, where only fresh faces will do. So I make the decisions accordingly.
There are a lot of stars I’ve worked with – big stars – who, when they walk on set, the energy just changes.
They go on about banning size zero, but I think Hollywood stars are the worst perpetrators. Most models are naturally long and gangly, while a lot of these young girls in Hollywood have gone on extreme diets. Their concave chests and bony arms are terrifying. It’s scary to think that normal teenagers are tempted to copy them.
People always want the stars of movies to fall in love with one another.
The stars don’t look bigger, but they do look brighter.
America gets rock stars a little more than Canada does.
The thing I remember most about space is the view from the spacewalk. When I was inside the space shuttle and looking through the window, you can see the earth and the stars, and it’s very beautiful, but it’s like looking at an aquarium, sort of. When you go outside and spacewalk, you become a scuba diver.
We are all of us stars, and we deserve to twinkle.
There are certain stars who are not actors. I don’t want to be that type.
The reason I can give wonder is that I feel wonder about the world: the stars, a tree, my body – everything.
Do not look at stars as bright spots only. Try to take in the vastness of the universe.
The Saturn system is a rich planetary system. It offers mystery, scientific insight, and obviously splendour beyond compare, and the investigation of this system has enormous cosmic reach… just studying the rings alone, we stand to learn a lot about the discs of stars and gas that we call the spiral galaxies.
Things are as they are. Looking out into it the universe at night, we make no comparisons between right and wrong stars, nor between well and badly arranged constellations.
Rock stardom will die because nobody will make enough money any more to be rock stars.
Love knows not distance; it hath no continent; its eyes are for the stars.
I don’t want to be famous or recognizable. I don’t want to be critiqued about the way that I look on the Internet… I’ve been writing pop songs for pop stars for a couple years and see what their lives are like, and that’s just not something I want.
Humanity has the stars in its future, and that future is too important to be lost under the burden of juvenile folly and ignorant superstition.
When I was younger, I used to look at movie stars with pencil-thin noses and think about a nose job. I’ve got a grown-up baby nose; it’s not chiseled and structured. Then I saw how beautiful Audrey Tatou was in ‘Amelie’ and thought, ‘She’s got a nose like mine, and if she can have a baby nose, so can I.’
When it gets dark enough you can see the stars.
The stars look the same from night to night. Nebulae and galaxies are dully immutable, maintaining the same overall appearance for thousands or millions of years. Indeed, only the sun, moon and planets – together with the occasional comet, asteroid or meteor – seem dynamic.
In those simpler days, you could just take pictures of movie stars and show them the way they were, as normal human beings. And if I felt part of any movement at the time, it was just to do that – to be journalistic and photograph what is, rather than what is made up.

I’ve been watching ‘Pawn Stars’ every week for the last year. I like learning about the history behind the items that people bring into the pawnshop. I actually pawned a ring once that a woman sent to me while I was on ‘Jerry Springer.’ It was really gaudy.
My favourite actors are all dead or dying. I just love Jimmy Stewart, Bette Davis, Katharine Hepburn – I was named after her – and Cary Grant. I just love old black and white movies and the stars in them. It must have been a great time to be in Hollywood.
I could care less if it’s Mick Jagger or the man on the street. I just like interesting people, and I happen to know a lot of stars.
If Hollywood stars speak out, so do all sorts of other people. Now Hollywood stars can get a better hearing.
I can’t imagine anything more beautiful on this planet than looking up at the stars and seeing a kind of artificial star moving through the night sky.
I’ve read that a naked eye can see six thousand stars in the hundred billion galaxies, but I couldn’t believe it, what with the sky white with starlight. I saw a million stars with one eye and two million with both.
Somehow, stars have a lot of class if they are done right; they never have a shelf life.
Doing that, then doing a lot of theater, which I love. Doing guest stars, did two independent films that are going around to all these festivals. Both of them are going to be at the Lake Tahoe Film Festival.
15 years later, it’s all the TV stars with the film deals, whether it’s the cast of Friends or That ’70s Show now with Ashton and other people doing stuff.
I will do ‘Dancing with the Stars’ when my career dips.
Traditional science assumes, for the most part, that an objective observer independent reality exists; the universe, stars, galaxies, sun, moon and earth would still be there if no one was looking.
In 2008 all the stars aligned perfectly for Obama‘s 6-point victory over John McCain. He was an inexperienced, untested neophyte, and successfully convinced enough voters to paint their own version of what hope-and-change was all about on the blank canvas he provided.
I like to be challenged as an actor, allowing myself to take up diverse roles. Even audiences get tired of watching their stars in similar roles over and over again.
I’m a camp counselor for pop stars.
The fixed stars signify the angel in man. That is why man orients himself by them; and that is why women have no appreciation for the starry sky; because they have no sense of the angel in man.
The principal reason for the universe’s poker face is that its constituents are far away. Stars careen through space, and galaxies spin at speeds thousands of times faster than a jet plane. But given their distance, you’d need the patience of Job to notice much change in their appearance or position.
It isn’t a disgrace not to reach the stars, but it is a disgrace to have no stars to reach for.
I think many years ago I got on a bus in L.A. and drove around to see the stars’ homes, but that’s the extent of my direct experience in Hollywood.
You can be the moon and still be jealous of the stars.
It’s just impossible to believe I’ve become good friends with some stars like Justin Bieber. I would call Justin a friend, someone I hang out with. It’s really weird.
I would never do ‘Dancing With The Stars,’ because it’s just not fair. I am too good of a dancer. It would be like LeBron James playing little league basketball.
The stars, that nature hung in heaven, and filled their lamps with everlasting oil, give due light to the misled and lonely traveller.
I might have been born in a hovel but I am determined to travel with the wind and the stars.

When I was a little kid, we only knew about our nine planets. Since then, we’ve downgraded Pluto but have discovered that other solar systems and stars are common. So life is probably quite prevalent.
But I think the image that’s thrown out on television is a bad image. Because you see players who want to imitate hip-hop stars. And the NBA is taking advantage of the situation.
I rush to add that I find the Web infinitely useful for rustling up information, settling arguments or locating the legends of rock stars.
Every actor you learn from, take something from everyone – big actor or not. Whether they’re big movie stars or not doesn’t really matter.
I feel bad for young actors who become huge stars too quickly, because you haven‘t had a chance to practice your craft a lot.
It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves.
You know what may be the oddest thing about being a star? Stars have an effect on people. It’s a responsibility, and it’s frightening.
We are all stars in this galaxy. All of us. No one’s greater than the other.
There are stars who are proficiently paranoid enough to hide what they really think. I can’t.
On buses and trains, I always think about the inexhaustible variety of human genes. We see types, and occasionally twins, but never doubles. All faces are unique, and this is exhilarating, despite the increasingly plastic similarity of TV stars and actors.
Shoot for the moon – if you miss you‘ll end up in the stars.
In Hollywood, for me, it’s all about the movie stars and the singers. Baseball players don’t draw too much attention; we’re low key. I’m good with faces and sometimes bad with names, but I’ll walk up to somebody if I know who they are… show them some love.
The most remarkable discovery in all of astronomy is that the stars are made of atoms of the same kind as those on the earth.
I hope to continue to inspire our nation’s youth to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and math so they, too, may reach for the stars.
Estimates are that at least 70 per cent of all stars are accompanied by planets, and since the latter can occur in systems rather than as individuals (think of our own solar system), the number of planets in the Milky Way galaxy is of order one trillion.
‘Dancing with the Stars’ is a great format for us. It’s a format we license from the BBC, so that can’t travel for us, but we consider it a great success. ‘Desperate Housewives,’ on the other hand, a huge success for us internationally. ‘Missing‘ has actually sold to 80 territories before it’s even gone on the air.
And New York is the most beautiful city in the world? It is not far from it. No urban night is like the night there… Squares after squares of flame, set up and cut into the aether. Here is our poetry, for we have pulled down the stars to our will.
Never think you can’t do something. I definitely never thought I could write a book, and even after I started writing it, I was like, ‘Oh my God, how am I gonna write a book?’ Just set your sights high and reach for the stars. Go live your dreams, and never think you can’t.
Barack Obama has brought glamour back to American politics – not the faux glamour-by-association of campaigning with movie stars or sailing with the Kennedys, but the real thing. The candidate himself is glamorous. Audiences project onto him the personal qualities and political positions they want in a president.
Rather than have it the principal thing in my son’s mind, I would gladly have him think that the sun went round the earth, and that the stars were so many spangles set in the bright blue firmament.
Summer is the annual permission slip to be lazy. To do nothing and have it count for something. To lie in the grass and count the stars. To sit on a branch and study the clouds.

It has been discovered that all the world is made of the same atoms, that the stars are of the same stuff as ourselves. It then becomes a question of where our stuff came from. Not just where did life come from, or where did the earth come from, but where did the stuff of life and of the earth come from?
When I see a good singer, I get teary-eyed. Part of it is jealousy because all comedians are frustrated rock stars. That’s a fact.
You can’t get more glamorous than you are on ‘Dancing with the Stars.’
I consciously decided not to be a ‘London‘ actor. Those gangster movies made a lot of East End actors think they were movie stars. And I was very aware that they were going to go out of fashion.
Years of science fiction have produced a mindset that it is human destiny to expand from Earth, to the Moon, to Mars, to the stars.
