I had a jazztrio, a rock n’ roll band, and I playeddrums in junior high, high school, college, big bands, and I played timpani in the symphony. I am a drummer. It’s the one instrument I actually play pretty well. It’s just hard to carry on your back.
I don’t even think about a retirement program because I’m working for the Lord, for the Almighty. And even thought the Lord’s pay isn’t very high, his retirement program is, you might say, out of this world.
Two urns on Jove’s high throne have ever stood, the source of evil one, and one of good; from thence the cup of mortal man he fills, blessings to these, to those distributes ills; to most he mingles both.
Praised be You, my Lord, with all Your creatures, especially Sir Brother Sun, Who is the day through whom You give us light. And he is beautiful and radiant with great splendour; of You, Most High, he bears the likeness.
If anything, taxes for the lower and middle class and maybe even the upper middle class should even probably be cut further. But I think that people at the high end – people like myself – should be paying a lot more in taxes. We have it better than we’ve ever had it.
If you win a Super Bowl before you’re fired, you’re a genius, and everyone listens to you. But a coach is just a guywhose best class in grammar school was recess and whose best class in high school was P.E. I never thought I was anything but a guy whose best class was P.E.
My best friend and I went to sleep-away camp every summer. We’d share stories of making out with boys, but we never did, so we made it all up. My real first kiss was at a friend’s house when I was in junior high. He was such a good kisser, and we’re still close friends!
Life got very good – we went from living in a one-bedroom apartment to a five-bedroom mansionby the time I was in high school. I had everything I wanted growing up, though all I wanted was music stuff – drums, a PC, turntables.
If you’re filmingsomebody doing something they really want to do, you’re probably not very high on their list of problems to deal with. You see James Carville on the phone – he’s like that whether you have a camera or not. He isn’t doing it just for you, and that’s hard to explain.
It always baffles me how people can lift you up so high and make it seem like they love you then you do one thingwrong and it’s all of a sudden you the devil and you evil and everything you do from then on isn’t right.
When I was in high school, there was ‘Superbad’ and ‘The Girl Next Door‘ and ‘Wedding Crashers’ and all these great movies. You hope to be a part of something that’s smart, funny and in that Todd Phillips-vein. You want to make something like ‘Superbad.’ That movie was so good and so funny.
Sometimes you have to not just dream about what could be – you get out and push and you pull and you preach. And you create a climate and environment to get those in high places, to get men and women of good will in power to act.
I’m humble ’cause I think many years ago people say, ‘Well, Alibaba’s terrible company’. And I know we were not that terrible. We’re pretty good; we’re better than people thought. But today, when people have a high expectation on you, and I start to worry and nervous because we are not good yet.
I was at a Thairestaurant when ‘i hate u, i love u’ hit the million-listen mark. It was weird because nothing else I released before had gotten that high at all.
I knew what I wanted to do when I was 13 and I had to go through four years of high school to get out. That’s a blessing, because I never had to lay on my bed staring up at the ceiling going, ‘What am I going to do with my life?’
I’ve always had that mindset of, ‘OK, I may be hot this month or doing really well this month, but don’t get too high, don’t get too low – just enjoy it.’ Don’t ride the rollercoaster, basically. I always thought about it like, I’m not going to an amusement park, I’m going to a baseball field.
I love high heels from the age of 10! Short skirts and then high heels. My classmates used to make fun of me. Like, ‘Ooh, she’s so skinny and she’s wearing high heels.’ But I just wore what I like, and I didn’t care about people’s opinions, the same as I don’t care now.
We do all, myself included, we tend to hold ourselves to pretty low standards. But when it comes to judging public figures or politicians or people we’ve never met, we tend to hold people to very high standards, and, if we held ourselves to those standards, we’d always fall short.
A lot of people say they want to get out of pain, and I’m sure that’s true, but they aren’t willing to make healing a high priority. They aren’t willing to look inside to see the source of their pain in order to deal with it.
I’d be satisfied just coaching in high school. I turned down a number of colleges when I was teaching in South Bend, Indiana, before I went into the service. I honestly believe that if I hadn’t enlisted in the service, I would never have left high school teaching. I’m sure I would have never left.
Oh, my ways are strange ways and new ways and old ways, And deep ways and steep ways and high ways and low, I’m at home and at ease on a track that I know not, And restless and lost on a road that I know.
It’s important not to make Spider-Man masculine because he’s a kid. As soon as you make him masculine, it’s harder to relate to him if you are younger and are in high school. I definitely was not masculine in high school.
Out of high school, I was, like, 202-205 pounds. My rookieseason, I was, like, 245; my second year, I was 255. My third year, I got up to like 272, and I tore my ACL. I don’t know if my weight was part of the cause of that, but I got hurt, so I just tried to re-evaluate my situation.
When I was in 7th grade, we were all given an exam. It was science and math, and the boys who did well were skipped ahead so that when they got to be juniors or seniors in high school they would be able to go to the local community college and take calculus and physics there. And I wasn’t skipped ahead.
I think Chicago has provided, for quite a long time, a very high level of stand-up comics that make their way out to New York and L.A.
What you will be looking for is a day that closes above the prior day’s high and most likely ‘breaks‘ out to the upside to close above a trading range. This is the twitching worm that causes the public to leap before they look.
In real life, I first started sleep walking in high school because that was when this concept of getting into college first appeared. I had this moment of, ‘Oh! This is going to affect the rest of my life.’
Patients are becoming aware that they’re being taken for a ride by big pharma companies. They charge high prices and have never cared for India’s healthcare. There are 23 million cases of cancer every year and India has a fair share of that.
In high school, I went to a place called the Mountain School. It’s on a farm in Vermont, and I read Emerson and Thoreau and ran around the woods. Now I go hiking with a bunch of my comedybuddies. We talk about our emotions. I also do a lot of writing on hikes, just to get the blood flowing and the ideas moving.
I’m a black Catholic raised in Decatur, Georgia, which was very gang-infested. Then, I went to an all-white private high school and excelled in sports and wrotepoetry, then played football at the University of Georgia, minoring in drama.
My parents moved to American Samoa when I was three or four years old. My dad was principal of a high school there. It was idyllic for a kid. I had a whole island for a backyard. I lived there until I was eight years old and we moved to SantaBarbara.
I went to the University of Vermont because I had a kind of unrequited love for this high school girlfriend. She wasn’t even at the University but at another school nearby. But I thought if went to a school near her, just maybe… I was really remedial about girls in so many ways.
Well, let me tell you, if you’re 45, had three children and are post-menopausal, you’re not going to weigh what you did the day you graduated from high school. Get that out of your head. That’s a media-driven ideal that you’re never going to healthfully obtain.
I dropped out of high school when I was, like, 15, so I just focused on doing music. It’s all I wanted to do; I didn’t want to work or anything else. I took all the negativity and obstacles that came with life, and I just put it in the music.
High heels. I respect people who love them; they’re just not for me!
When determining appropriate levels of compensation, management must determine if the employee turnover rate is too low, too high, or just right. If turnover rate is high enough to adversely impact the entity’s performance, then employee compensation is probably too low.
Listen, if you don’t talk big game, you never get anywhere. If you don’t think big, you don’t get big. Some people call it egotistical, some people call it high hopes, some people call it confidence. It’s all in how you want to dissect it.
We live in a modest system, a galaxy called the Milky Way. If we named every star in the Milky Way and put them in the Hollywood telephone directory and stacked those telephone directories up, we’d have a pile of telephone directories 70 miles high.
The high point of civilization is that you can hate me and I can hate you but we develop an etiquette that allows us to deal with each other because if we actedsolely upon our impulse we’d probably go to war.
You can’t climb up to the second floor without a ladder. When you set your aim too high and don’t fulfill it, then your enthusiasm turns to bitterness. Try for a goal that’s reasonable, and then gradually raise it.
I went to high schools in four different countries. The gift is that you can constantlyreinvent yourself. I still feel that freedom. One day, I’ll wear a dress I got in India; the next, Converse sneakers and jeans.
I rode horseback three miles each way to get to high school, and in bad weather it was a problem sometimes to make my eight o’clock class on time. Like others, I often missed school to help on the farm, especially in the fall, until after harvest, and in the spring, during planting season.
I believe I’m going to die doing the things I was born to do. I believe I’m going to die high off the people. I believe I’m going to die a revolutionary in the international revolutionary proletarian struggle.
I played American Legion ball starting when I was 14. But I didn’t catch until I was 17. I was 75-3 as a high school pitcher, but it was like everybody knew that I was supposed to be a catcher. When the scouts would come around, and I was pitching, they’d make me take infield practice so the scouts could watch me throw.
I’m not afraid of flying; I just fear I’m going to die. I think I’m – vulnerable. I admit it. I don’t fly. I got claustrophobia. I don’t go in high buildings. I don’t do those things. I’m just myself, whatever that is.
Every generation tries to put its doctrine on a high shelf where the children can not reach it.
My mom and I have always been really close. She’s always been the friend that was always there. There were times when, in middle school and junior high, I didn’t have a lot of friends. But my mom was always my friend. Always.
Albert Camus’s ‘La Peste’ – ‘The Plague‘ – had an enormous impact on me when I read it in high school French class, and I chose my senior yearbook quote from it. In college, I wrote a philosophy class paper on Camus and Sartre, and again chose my yearbook quote from ‘La Peste.’
When I’m playing, I’m never through. It’s unfinished. I like to find a place to leave for someone else to finish it. That’s where the high comes in.
I was inspired to shoot ‘Look Back at It’ in a high school because I’m like a voice of the youth. When the youth sees me in a classroom, I want them to be inspired to accomplish their dreams. I was just like them in a classroom at one point. It all starts in a classroom.
When I came to New York, I was really awkward. I went to military academy for high school, so I didn’t have the socialization that most kids do. When I got here, I was five years behind everybody. Talking to women was weird for me.
Thought means life, since those who do not think so do not live in any high or real sense. Thinking makes the man.
Amos Bronson Alcott
I set myself high standards on the pitch and I know I have not always lived up to them this season.
I really care about people, and I would need someone to also genuinely value other human beings and want to be connected with people in the world and to know about other cultures. That might not be a high standard for someone else, but for me, it’s really important to try and stick to that.
From middle school to the first year of high school, I went to a school in Miami that seemed like a private country club. The whole cheerleader, football player, clique-y thing there was terrifying. Those people were so scary. They’re the scariestkinds of people because they are idolized by their peers.
I think about the milestones from my childhood and what it will be like to watch our kids go through them. Taking Riley to her first day of school was a whirlwind. I can’t imagine what middle school is going to be like, and high school, and graduation.
If I told you what it takes to reach the highest high you’d laugh and say nothing that simple, but you’ve been told many times before messiah‘s point you to the door though no one’s got the guts to leave the temple.
I think, as most of us do, I put such high expectations on myself that this spills over onto other people. And not everyone is wired this way. Some people can shrug expectations off their shoulders like a cardigan, remaining cool and breezy. Others wear them like a parka with a stuck zipper, hot and stifling.
I was who I was in high school in accordance with the rules of conduct for a normal person, like obeying your mom and dad. Then I got out of high school and moved out of the house, and I just started, for lack of a better term, running free.
I have very high expectations of myself. I’m a very competitive person but competitive with myself. I want to be the best that I can be and if that means that I’m eventually better than everyone else then so be it.
High maintenance means a lot of care. My relationships are high maintenance, my body is high maintenance, and my soul is high maintenance. I really care about my friends and my family; I eat good; I pray a lot. So it’s like, I really care about my relationships with my family, my friends, my body and my soul.
Vision gets the dreams started. Dreaming employs your God-given imagination to reinforce the vision. Both are part of something I believe is absolutely necessary to building the life of a champion, a winner, a person of high character who is consistently at the top of whatever game he or she is in.
My whole life, people have doubted me. My mom did. People told me in high school I’m too short and not fast enough to play basketball. They didn’t know my story. Because if they did, they’d know that anything is possible.
I used to cheerlead in high school, and I had the biggestcrush on one of my teammates‘ brothers. I was a great tumbler, so when he showed up at practice one day, I tried to impress him, but I ended up landing on my face! When I got off the ground, I had rugburn on my nose. I was in tears because it hurt so bad!
Be wise; soar not too high to fall; but stoop to rise.
When I’m in the studio, I’m looking for creativity I haven‘t matched yet, a feeling I haven’t felt. It’s a high.
I think I’ve really stepped outside the box in the way I try to train, eat, hydrate, the cognitivebraingames I play on a daily or weeklybasis to try to build up some durability within my body, within my brain, to be able to go out there and play at a high level at age 38.
When we advocate for violence against women to be eliminated on campuses, we say, ‘Well, actually, it’s not just on campuses we have to worry about.’ We might have to worry about high schools. We might have to worry about police precincts and cars. We might have to worry about public housing.
I started in junior high doing the splits and flips and that kind of stuff. It was kind of the acceptable thing to do. But I had two older brothers, so I was a tomboy. I was the cute tomboy who could put on the skirt but then go tackle you or something. I was a little rough around the edges for a pretty woman!
I was lined up to do this honors degree course in biology, of all things, for no better reason than I got high marks in it. I decided I didn’t want to be removing worms‘ hearts for the rest of my life in Northern Ontario. I thought I would try acting. So, I went to England to study drama. I got Shakespeared out.
You can think of Hollywood as high school. TV actors are freshmen, comedy actors are maybe juniors, and dramatic actors – they’re the cool seniors.
I went to a Steiner School, which is very small and nurturing and creative, so I felt like I was in an environment where I could mature. There was less of the clique-y stuff, which can really make high school a living hell for a lot of people, going on, so I was very similar then to who I am now. I’m still a dork.
I was not a very popular kid in high school, and I had this idea that the way that I dressed would change how liked I was. It was that kind of Pygmalion story. I think, ultimately that’s probably why I became interested in fashion, its transformative power, and how it can change your identity.
I was anorexic in the ’60s and ’70s, although it wasn’t called anorexia then. I thought people would be nicer to me if I looked very small and delicate, so food wasn’t high on my agenda. But it is now.
I’ve pretty much given up on the orange. I really have. I just don’t even bother. It’s just either sour, or woody, or the skin’s too thick. It’s very nice when you come across the perfect orange, because it’s really a beautiful experience. But the stakes are too high.
When things aren’t going right, I can get out on the golf course, and when things are going really good on the court, I can go and enjoy the scenery, enjoy the weather. And when I’m too high, I can have golf humble me and beat me up a little bit.
The object of rewards is to encourage; that of punishments, to prevent. If rewards are high, then what the ruler wants will be quickly effected; if punishments are heavy, what he does not want will be swiftly prevented.
Leaders must exemplify integrity and earn the trust of their teams through their everyday actions. When you do this, you set high standards for everyone at your company. And when you do so with positive energy and enthusiasm for shared goals and purpose, you can deeply connect with your team and customers.
It was not until the end of my freshman year in high school that I thought I could really have a future in track and field. I definitely did not think I could make it to the Olympics back then, though; I was just focused on making it to the state finals!
I was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, which is where J. Cole is from. I went up to Washington, D.C., where my mother moved, to stay with her, and then moved back to North Carolina to finish junior high and high school.

I went to Acton-Boxborough Regional High School in Massachusetts and Emerson College in Boston.
With nearly all students leaving public high school having taken some vocational education, this bill continues to provide communities with the funding necessary to give students an edge on career training.
People say I am the king of painful shoes. I don’t want to create painful shoes, but it is not my job to create something comfortable. I try to make high heels as comfortable as they can be, but my priority is design, beauty and sexiness. I’m not against them, but comfort is not my focus.
Christine Bass was my high school music teacher. She took a program on its last legs and within a few years turned into one of the best programs in the country. Our high school dominated national choir competitions all through her 20-plus year tenure.
I was born in Niagara Falls. The high school I went to had 500 kids and the school didn’t have a lot of money. The town itself was whatever. It was a good place to grow up. It was a blessing that I grew up there, because I got to find myself at a young age.
I sort of set myself really high standards which is good and bad. If I know that I’ve done all I can to prepare, that’s when I race the best and in ’09 I was going through a lot of emotional ups and downs and I was never as fit as I would have liked to have been. So I never felt comfortable.
I was an underground rapper and only 16 years old, a freshman at high school. Bang thought I had potential as a rapper and lyricist, and we went from there. Then Suga joined us.
If you look at it ecologically, deforestation is high on the list of things which bring devastation. You cut down trees to build homes, for fuel, and you end up with no trees left, and you have to move on. If you take the earth as a whole, eventually there’s nowhere to move on to.
You shall, I question not, find a way to the top if you diligently seek for it; for naturehathplaced nothing so high that it is out of the reach of industry and valor.
Alexander the Great
I grew up here in St. Albert, which is a city just north of Edmonton, and I went to Grade 10 here at Paul Kane High School. But then I went to junior in the WHL, WesternHockey League, at age 16. So I left and went to finish school at Norkam High School in Kamloops for grades 11 and 12.
You know, when you really connect with the instrument and everything just comes out on an emotional level very naturally through your playing. That’s, you know, a great night. And I think the reason I love touring so much is you’re chasing that high around all the time, trying to have another good night.
I remember in high school thinking that I wanted to be a lawyer, and now I realize I saw that movie ‘And Justice for All’ when I was a kid and thought, ‘That’s what lawyers do, and I want to get up and yell and scream in the middle of a courtroom.’
It’s always a tough process when you’re always the best guy on your team, in high school, in middle school, AAU and things like that. Then you come together, and you may not be the best guy on the team. You may have to adjust. You may not be a go to scorer. You may have to be a picker. You may have to be a rebounder.
Whenever a new technology is introduced into society, there must be a counterbalancing human response – that is, high touch – or the technology is rejected… We must learn to balance the materialwonders of technology with the spiritual demands of our human nature.
Better have failed in the high aim, as I, Than vulgarly in the low aim succeed As, God be thanked! I do not.
Mark Wahlberg, when I was in high school, people were like, ‘You look like Marky Mark!’ Then as I got older, they were like, ‘You look like Donnie Wahlberg.’ Now they’re like, ‘You look like Donnie Wahlberg’s cousin from Massachusetts.’
I had people at Perrysburg High School in my life in Perrysburg who believed in me and told me I could do anything I wanted too, and I foolishly believed them.
The path we have chosen for the present is full of hazards, as all paths are. The cost of freedom is always high, but Americans have always paid it. And one path we shall never choose, and that is the path of surrender, or submission.
The people in East Germany have lived through so many changes in the last 15 years like never before in the country, and they did this often with great enthusiasm. But in the West we also have a high degree of transformations.
I think that I was raised by two of the best people ever. My mother and father are just the definition of hard work, like what hard work brings to you. They’ve taught me and my brothers and sisters to set your goals high and to give everything to reach them.
I see the church as a field hospital after battle. It is useless to ask a seriously injured person if he has high cholesterol and about the level of his blood sugars. You have to heal his wounds. Then we can talk about everything else.
When I got into all the grunge stuff, I really liked Hole. I actually saw them in concert when I was a sophomore in high school. It was kind of rare to see a successful femalerocker get down and dirty with the guys. And Courtney Love did. It was fun to be a fan of something different.
I’m a Scrabble nut, and I need something to do while I’m travelling. Scrabble keeps me occupied, I play against myself. I have a high score of 718 that I’m always trying to beat. I’m a good player. You don’t want to play me for money, that’s for sure.
Never think you can’t do something. I definitely never thought I could write a book, and even after I started writing it, I was like, ‘Oh my God, how am I gonna write a book?’ Just set your sights high and reach for the stars. Go live your dreams, and never think you can’t.
When I was young and it was someone’s birthday, I didn’t have the money to buy nice presents so I would take my mom’s camera and make a movie parody for whoever’s birthday it was. When I’d show it them, they’d die laughing. That reaction was a high for me, and I loved that feeling.
Oh that I were seated as high as my ambition, I’d place my naked foot on the necks of monarchs.
I’m moving into that eldership age, you know? I’m at the ‘wise woman’ age where it’s not about learning, but utilizing the information that I have in a way that serves other people. That’s a high calling and it’s a great responsibility.
High office teaches decision making, not substance. It consumes intellectual capital; it does not create it. Most high officials leave office with the perceptions and insights with which they entered; they learn how to make decisions but not what decisions to make.
I still get butterflies when I’m doing a runway show. The music starts, you’re wearing these gorgeousclothes and your nervous about your high heels, if your shoes are going to break, if your going to slip or do something wrong.
The financial crisis and the Great Recession posed the most significant macroeconomic challenges for the United States in a half-century, leaving behind high unemployment and below-target inflation and calling for highly accommodative monetarypolicies.
In grade school I was smart, but I didn’t have any friends. In high school, I quit being smart and started having friends.
I did plays in high school, but I was convinced you couldn’t make a living doing it. You don’t have a lot of options in Indiana anyway, though, so I didn’t want to stay there. I graduated early and worked a bunch of really odd jobs, and then I joined the Marines.
My father, I think he played percussion in high school. My mother played piano when she was very young, but only for a brief while. I don’t think she had a great teacher. In any case, neither of them were really into music at a young age.
I’m grateful for the opportunities God gave me to minister to people in high places; people in power have spiritual and personal needs like everyone else, and often they have no one to talk to.
If you had a national grid with one operator, you had twenty or even a hundred operators, if you don’t have the ability to compel people to observe high standards of conduct, then you run a greater risk.
My teacher told me I’d never amount to anything. I left high school at 15, after one year. But my real teachers were all the people around me. And I was a good listener.
My martial arts came a lot from my uncle, who actually taught martial arts through the military. He was a black belt in tae kwon do, but also, he used a lot of military-style fighting where it’s not the high kicks or anything like that. It’s basically defeat your opponent as fast as possible.
Our children can achieve great things when we set high expectations for them.
There are moments of high mood, there are moments of low mood, there are moments of injury, there are moments of strength, there are moments of progress, there are moments of stagnation. All we can do is keep on pushing.
My mum’s amazing. She’s the person I admire most, I think, in her sacrifice to me and my sister and her level of emotional sacrifice to people around her. She takes a high level of personal responsibility for the welfare of people around her.
If you are a lawyer, and you want to take on easier cases, you can prosecute trafficviolations or something. You’d have a very high rate of success, and you probably could sleep more easily at night. But that’s not what drives me.
When I was first started, when I was eighteen, I wrestled for a company that had a very hardcore fanbase and demanded a lot from its wrestlers. So, every single match, I would do every move possible. I would land on the concrete floor; I would land really high on my head just to try to impress the fans.
Many people assume the diseases that kill us are pre-programmed into our genes. High blood pressure by 55, heart attacks at 60, maybe cancer at 70, and so on… But for most of the leading causes of death, our genes usually account for only 10-20 per cent of risk.
I am honoured to be taking part in the Diamond Jubilee flotilla along the Thames in my 20-foot rowingboat. The energy levels will be high, partly because I’m planning to ply the crew with thermos flasks filled with Typhoo!
I would encourage you to set really high goals. Set goals that, when you set them, you think they’re impossible. But then every day you can work towards them, and anything is possible, so keep working hard and follow your dreams.
In my mind, it is certainly much nicer to end on a high note rather than on a Stout Pig.
The EgyptianNile, though it does have its own particular hazards, is subject to none of what I find in Rhode Island. Since the Aswan High Dam was built in 1973, the Nile has become something of a grand canal. It is wide, flat, slow, and so calm it verges on the geriatric.
I ended up getting drafted by the Colorado Rockies on June 8, 2010 and the next day, my dad passed away, in June 9, 2010. So I’m at the biggest high of my life on June 8th. And the next day, June 9th, he’s gone.
The function of literature, through all its mutations, has been to make us aware of the particularity of selves, and the high authority of the self in its quarrel with its society and its culture. Literature is in that sense subversive.
Excellence is being able to perform at a high level over and over again. You can hit a half-court shot once. That’s just the luck of the draw. If you consistently do it… that’s excellence.
I’ve been thinking of humorous things since I was… I can’t remember when. All the way through elementary school, all the way through junior high, all the way through high school, through college and after college, I was thinking of the same kinds of things that I say in front of an audience now.
And now let me address all of you, high and low, rich and poor, one with another, to accept of mercy and grace while it is offered to you; Now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation; and will you not accept it, now it is offered unto you?
You must accept that you might fail; then, if you do your best and still don’t win, at least you can be satisfied that you’ve tried. If you don’t accept failure as a possibility, you don’t set high goals, you don’t branch out, you don’t try – you don’t take the risk.
My name is James Edward Franco. Ted is a nickname for Edward. That’s what my parents called me. I also got ‘Teddy Ruxpin’ a lot. It just got to a point where I got sick of it, so when a teacher called out ‘James Franco’ my junior year of high school, I didn’t correct her.
The football is different to England, but it is a very high level in China. The Chinese league is growing all the time, the owners of the teams invest a lot of care, they want to win and this makes the league very competitive.
I love watching Anthony Kim play, but I’m not a fan of the way he grips down a good two inches on his full-swing shots. Choking down lightens the club’s swing weight and effectively makes the shaft stiffer. It also makes it difficult to hit the ball high enough for all situations.
